English: The Weaver's Cottage, Capel Cross. "The weaver" who lived here in the 16th century was an important part of the broadcloth industry of Horsmonden. See nearby the old Clothmaster's Halls at Grovehurst and Broadford. The stream on the right of the cottage, which is a loop of the river Teise, must have helped power his loom.
