| Description |
English: The Workshop/Gweithdy at Din Lligwy Looking diagonally across the rectangular workshop building at the Romano-British settlement of Din Lligwy. The massive stone walls are five feet thick (approx 1.5 metres) and were probably surmounted by a timber and thatch roof. Excavations have found a cobbled floor and evidence of iron-working, and there was also the usual evidence of occupation such as pottery, tools, and shellfish. The bi-lingual information board along with an artist's impression is against the perimeter wall to the left. See 954602. The footpath to and from the site enters through the trees in the far corner. |
