Summary edit

Description
English: The Immaculate Conception Cathedral, or Basco Cathedral, was built in 1783. It was frequently damaged due to the strong typhoons and earthquakes that shook the island of Batanes. It was originally made of stone and underwent renovations and was finished in 2011. The church bears witness to the natural disasters that shook the island. The winds may blow hard, but not on their faith. People are religious and disciplined too, so they keep their faith burning in the midst of typhoons. Also, no amount of earthquake could shake their faith because this is as strong as the stone that the cathedral was originally made of.
