e shallnarrowly look upon thee, aiid con-sider thee, saying, Is this the manthat made the earth to tremble,that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wil-derness, and destioyed the citiesthereof; that opened not the houseof his prisoners ? 18 All the kings of the nations,even all of them, lie in glory, everyone in his own house. 19 But thou art cast out of thygrave like an abominable bi^anch,a7id as the raiment of those thatare slain, thrust through with asword, that go down to the stonesof the pit; as a carcase troddenunder feet. 20 Thou shalt not be joined withthem in burial, because thou hastdestroyed thy land, and slain thypeople: the seed of evil-doers shallnever be renowned. 21 Prepare slaughter for hischildren for the iniquity of theirfathers; that they do not rise, norpossess the land, nor fill the faceof the world with cities. 22 For I will rise up againstthem, saith the Lord of hosts,and cut off from Babylon the ~^.£i/d Gods purpose against Assyria. ISAIAH 15, 16.
