Av. size, .80 x .55 (20.3 x 14.). General Range.—Eastern North America west to eastern Colorado andwestern Texas, and from the British Provinces south to eastern Mexico and Cubawintering from the South Atlantic and Gulf States southward. Breeds frornSouth Carolina northward. Range in Ohio.—Common summer resident.
