| Description |
English: The chancel of Hampnett Church Part of the interior of Hampnett church was decorated in 1868 by the incumbent, Rev William Wiggin, he attempted to recreate medieval wall paintings. It is unsure whether the work was done by the reverend himself or more likely by the Bristol stained-glass makers Clayton or Bell. The local villagers were unimpressed and set up a fund for the removal of these murals, fortunately for us they never raised enough to remove them. |
