Description
English: The former RAF Penrhos It has hard to believe that spitfires and later the ubiquitous Ansons used to take off and land from this field. For much of the war it was a base for training air gunners and observers, its role as a bombing school having ceased early in the war. The airfield was decommissioned in 1946, but was used by private light aircraft for decades afterwards.
