Summary edit

Description The Mekong is so wide that the mighty pachyderms look tiny even with my 70-300 lens fully zoomed out. And although it was refreshing to see some wildlife (alright, domesticated wildlife) after an overdose of Buddhas, I was personally not too happy to see these poor pachyderms doing what they were doing in this intense heat. Elephants have very sensitive skin, and it's not good to keep them so long in the heat without allowing them to go for a dip. At any rate, I'd recently read about how the animals suffer irrepairable damage to their backbone with constant riding by humans, so what I was seeing is a definite no no in my book.
