English: The north-western corner of the walls of Derry as seen from the Bogside The watchtower, a feature of the view from the early 1970s 'til the end of 2005, was known as the Masonic Observation Post. This is because it was built next to the Masons' Hall, also prominent in the photo. It was a watching and listening facility aimed at the Nationalist Bogside below.
