Description
English: This photograph was taken at the Pangong Lake (Pangong Tso in local dialect) in Ladakh , Jammu & Kashmir , India.

I wish and pray that in-spite of the steadily increasing tourism to this place, regulations and discipline ensure that this preserved area stays healthy and well protected. This landscape is not even part of the vast lake but a stretch of water that has got deposited away from one bank of the lake , cut off from the rest of the vast lake thus offering a unique mirroring effect to the lofty mountains and bright blue sky and the cottony clouds in the backdrop.

For me, this image signifies a deep tranquillity and beauty of the marvels of nature. I was lucky to have found this breath-taking intersection of the land, water and sky and the man-made element (aka the red watch-point) add an interesting detail to it :)
