English: The remains of the Faenol dangerous animals zoo George William Duff Assheton-Smith, who inherited the estate in 1869 was not content simply with breeding bison, rare cattle and race horses, he also had to have a zoo of dangerous animals in his 'back garden'. These included bears and tigers. The zoo was dispersed in 1930.
