Description
English: The sharp bend at the southern end of Pont y Borth The sign on the wall reads 'Mon Mam Cymru' (Anglesey the mother of Wales)and is the motto of Ynys Mon. It was coined in 1191 by Gerallt Gymro (Geraldus Cambrensis)on the basis that its rich agricultural lands provided food for the mountainous mainland.
