The statue of St Sebastian is carried out by the parish patrons, as this marks the beginning of a whole week of festivities dedicated to the saint.

| Description |
English: St Sebastian is an early Christian saint and martyr. He is the patron of soldiers, archers and the plague amongst others and it is latter patronage that is associated with the city of Qormi. In fact the local people turned to this saint when it was severely hit with the plague, and thus the devotion to him started to grow. The parish was founded in 1935. Today it is one of the biggest feasts in Malta and the saint enjoys and big devotion from the Qormi locals.
