Summary edit

Description
English: The train just arriving at platform 1 Frome Station There is only one platform as it is now on a single line loop.

"Frome station was designed by J.R. Hannaford and opened in 1850. It is one of the oldest through train shed railway stations still in operation in Britain. The unusual station structure consists of a 120 by 48 foot (36.5 x 14.6 metres) timber train shed, supported by 12 composite trusess which span 49 feet (15 m). The station has two platforms, one of which is now unused due to the line being made into a single track, and benefits from a public address system. It is now a Grade II listed building." The above was copied from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frome_railway_station where there is more of interest.

Probably from Weymouth, the announcer on the public address system said it was going on to Cheltenham via the Severn Tunnell.
