Summary edit

Description
English: The white horse Although rather grey, the white horse (with rider) carved into the hillside can be seen, giving White Horse Hill its name. The cattle give some sense of scale to the carving. It was cut in 1807 by soldiers to pass the time while awaiting Napoleon's invasion. The rider is said to be King George III, who visited and liked Weymouth but disliked the carving. Its still there though.
