This photograph was taken in the studio of Piet Mondriaan at 5 rue de Coulmiers, XIVe arrondissement, Paris in spring 1921 . As is visible on the photograph Van Doesburg is making this photo himself. He died in 1931, hence this photograph is in the public domain.
