DescriptionThis is Amtrak Day in Norfolk, VA (25249215322).jpg |
English: The eastbound N&W Pocahontas departed Cincinnati the night before, April 30, 1971, is running about 3 1/2 hours late, thanks to switching at Roanoke that cut off the diesels and added steam engine 759 and about 15 cars for the last run across Virginia to Norfolk. The N&W went out in style. Therefore I know why Roger Puta was there to take this photo. But why was Aunt Eunice! The next train to depart Norfolk would be in 41 years. |
