Summary edit

Description A Keihan 8000 series limited express in revised colour scheme rolls past on the level crossing which I had to pass on my way to Kyoto's Fushimi Inari shrine. This is the type of train I took to Osaka a couple of days later. These train sets also have a double decker car in their consist which is called an executive car. It was quite a comfortable ride to Osaka. While most train sets on this line are green-cream, the 1000 series stand out for two reasons- three actually- their unique chocolate and brown livery, the double deck car in the centre and the fact that they do not call at all stations on the route. This one ran through the Inari station (closest to Fushimi-Inari) without stopping. More pictures of this train appear later in this album. (see subsequent pictures). (Kyoto, Japan, Apr/ May 2019)
