English: Dewey holds press conference. Washington, D.C., Dec. 9. Thomas E. Dewey told reporters today that 'there is a bottom to every well' and the next President 'can balance the budget because he's got to balance it.' He added, ' On the basis of past records, a New Deal President would not balance the budget.' Dewey is in the Capital to attend the Gridiron dinner tonight
