Summary edit

Description
English: BNSF started replacing the Main Street crossing in Downers Grove on 9-7-28. I went down after 5pm to see what they got done on the first day. They had removed all of the panels and pavement. They were still cleaning up when I arrived. (The first clip)

When the station's PA announced that the incoming commuter would not stop, I decided to stay for it because we don't see many express commuters at this station. And I need to practice videoing trains at track speed. After the express ran through, I saw another headlight. I have a policy that I don't leave trackside if I have my camera and I can see a headlight. In summary: 5:43pm westbound express on M2 5:45pm eastbound express on M3 5:48pm westbound express on M1 5:52pm westbound local on M1 Finally, no more headlights so I went home even though the PA had indicated that the 5:40 inbound should be arriving at 6:10. On my way back home, I noticed another westbound local at 5:57.

Unlike most railfan videos at this station, I'm on the north side of the tracks so you can see the depot in the background of some of the clips. The reason I was on the north side was because the pedestrian crossing was also torn up and because it was cloudy enough that being on the south side did not have an advantage.
