DescriptionThrone Game Chess of Solomon vs Adonijah - The Chess of Nature - By Jawolusi Oluwaseun.jpg |
English: The Chess of Nature: Solomon vs. Adonijah Throne-Game is a pencil drawing by Jawolusi Oluwaseun Solomon in October, 2021. The Biblical account in the first chapter of the first Book of Kings is being depicted with 31 Chess moves; representing how Solomon rose from being a pawn at E4 to a King at E8.
The Inscriptions on the pencil drawing read as thus; HERE IS THE MESSAGE: KING DAVID FOUGHT AND WON MANY BATTLES DURING HIS LIFETIME. HIS LAST TUSSLE AND SCUFFLE WAS AGAINST ONE OF HIS SONS (ADONIJAH) FOR THE CAUSE OF SOLOMON'S THRONESHIP. THAT TIME AROUND, IT WAS NOT HIS USUAL KNIGHT-LIKE RESPONSE TO CONFLICTS, INSTEAD, HE WON THE WAR WITH WORDS, THAT IS; SPIRITUAL DIPLOMACY, AS CONFIRMED IN 1 KINGS 1: 29-30. HENCE, THE JUSTIFICATION OF HIS LYRICS IN PSALM 20:7; "SOME TRUST IN CHARIOTS AND SOME TRUST IN HORSES, BUT WE TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD." AS ALSO ESTABLISHED IN JOHN 14:13. HOWEVER, TAKE NOTE OF JOHN 14:15. AS SEEN BELOW, THESE CHESS MOVES DEPICT THE THRONE-GAME NARRATIVES OF THE FIRST CHAPTER IN THE FIRST BOOK OF KINGS: i.E2-E4, ii.G8-F6, iii.B1-C3, iv.E7-E5, v.F1-C4, vi.B7-B6, vii.G1-F3, viii.H7-H5, ix.B2-B3, x.D7-D6, xi.C1-A3, xii. F6-D5, xiii.C4-D5[xG8], xiv.A7-A6, xv.F3-G5, xvi.C8-F5, xvii.E4-F5[xC8], xvii.H8-G8, xix.D1-H5[xH7], xx.B8-C6, xxi. F5-F6, xxii. C6-B4, xxiii.A3-B4[xB8], xxiv.A8-B8, xxv. G5-F7[xF7], xxvi.G8-H8, xxvii.F7-H8[xH8], xxviii.B8-B7, xxix.F6-F7[E8 CHECK], xxx.B7-A7, xxxi.F7-E8 [CHECKMATE] Here are the conclusions on the pencil drawing: "INSPIRED BY GOD, DRAWN BY JAWOLUSY." ~ "ITS BEAUTY IS IN ITS DISCOVERY." The original pencil drawing and the second version are currently preserved in Nigeria as scrolls.
