DescriptionTiefenbacher Kirche Allianzwappen Solms Hessen.JPG | Barocker Portalschmuck an der Kirche in Tiefenbach (Typ mittelalterliche Wehrkirche) im alten Ortskern (angebracht anlässlich der Renovierung durch Graf Wilhelm Moritz zu Solms-Braunfels (1651-1724) im Jahre 1714; darstellend das Ehe-Allianzwappen des Grafen und seiner Gemahlin Magdalene Sophie, einer geborenen Landgräfin zu Hessen-Homburg (1660-1720), darüber eine mit Purpur gefütterte Reichsgrafenkrone mit darauf ruhendem Reichsapfel). Die Inschrift unter dem Wappen: "Als diesse kirche wurd de novo Repariert * hat * herr Graff Wilhelm Moritz * damals Löbl* Regirt * / Die weilen Ist Bekant * Das Er gantz voller gnad * In dem Er Solche auch Daran Erwiesen hat / So hat man das dahier * In diesen Stein gegraben * Damit die posten [gemeint ist: "die Nachwelt; die Nachkommen"] * mogen nachricht davon ha[ben] / * ANNO * 1714 * /". Die Buchstaben auf den purpurroten Bändern beidseitig des grünen Rankenwerks sind Abkürzungen, nämlich bezeichnen sie als Initialen Namen und Titel der zu dem Ehe-Allianzwappen gehörenden Eheleute: vorne "W * M * G * Z * S * B * G * H" für Wilhelm Moritz Graf zu Solms-Braunfels-Greifenstein-Hungen, hinten "M * S * L * Z * H * B */ G * Z * S * B" für Magdalene Sophie Landgräfin zu Hessen-Bingenheim, Gräfin zu Solms-Braunfels [zeitgenössisch wurde (von 1650 bis 1681) die hessische Linie, der sie entstammte, statt "Hessen-Homburg" auch "Hessen-Bingenheim" oder "Hessen-Homburg-Bingenheim" genannt, da der zweite Landgraf von Hessen-Homburg, Wilhelm Christoph (ihr Vater), ab 1650 bevorzugt in der zum Schloss ausgebauten Burg Bingenheim lebte und daher meist Landgraf zu Bingenheim genannt wurde, insbesondere nachdem er 1669 Stadt und Amt Homburg an seinen Bruder Georg Christian verkauft hatte. In der Geschichtsschreibung wird die 1660 geborene Magdalene Sophie heute aber (zumeist) einheitlich als geborene "Hessen-Homburg" bezeichnet. Vgl. hier -> [1]. Ähnlich ist die Namensproblematik bei ihrem Gatten, Graf Wilhelm-Moritz, der, als geborener Graf zu Solms-Greifenstein, die Erbnachfolge in (dem bedeutenderen) Braunfels angetreten hatte, seine Residenz dorthin verlegte und sich fortan zumeist "Solms-Braunfels" (oder ggf. "Solms-Braunfels-Greifenstein[-Hungen]") nannte]. |
