  • English: Soldiers watching a tiger said to have eaten the mistress of a Russian officer, as it appeared on December 1904 to the Admiral Ernesto Burzagli (1873-1944), Italian naval attaché in Tokio, who sailed from Yokohama (Japan) on a diplomatic mission to Port Arthur, during the Russo-Japanese War. The original picture, scanned by Emiliano Burzagli, belongs to the Private archive of Burzaghi family, Italy.
  • English: I soldati osservano una tigre che si diceva avesse mangiato l'amante di un ufficiale russo. La scena fu immortalata nel dicembre 1904 dall'ammiraglio Ernesto Burzagli (1873-1944), attaché navale italiano a Tokio, che partì da Yokohama (Giappone), in missione diplomatica verso Port Arthur, durante la Guerra russo-giapponese. L'immagine originale, scansita da Emiliano Burzagli, fa parte dell'Archivio privato della famiglia Burzagli.
