English: A flexible coupling made of car tire pieces connects the drive shafts of an engine and a water pump. Elastic coupling fit to cancel out radial misalignment and vibrations. Seen on a small wooden boat in the Backwaters of Kerala at a fish farm.
Deutsch: Eine Kupplung aus Reifenstücken verbindet die Wellen von einem Motor und einer Wasserpumpe. Elastische Kupplung zum Ausgleich von Radialversatz, Längsschwingungen und Drehzahl-Schwankungen. Gesehen in den Backwaters von Kerala auf einem kleinen Holzboot in einer Fischzüchterei.
