Deutsch: Wallfahrtskirche Todtmoos Unserer Lieben Frau Die hilfreiche „Mutter vom Schwarzwald" Todtmoos war eine vorderösterreichische Vogtei. 1319 schenkte Herzog Leopold von Österreich die 1268 vom Bischof von Konstanz geweihte und zur Pfarrkirche erhobene Kapelle aus Stein - samt aller Zugehörigkeiten und Rechten - dem Benediktiner-Kloster St. Blasien. Dessen Mönche versahen bis zur Säkularisation im Jahre 1806 den Pilgerdienst in Todtmoos. Die Legende: 1255 ließ Leutpriester Dietrich von Rickenbach nach einer Erscheinung -. zu Ehren der „Schmerzhaften Mutter Maria" am Schönbühl zwischen Totenbach und Wehra eine Kapelle erbauen. Besonders zu Notzeiten, z. B. während Pestepidemien, nahmen die Wallfahrten zum Gnadenbild einer fast lebensgroßen Pieta - stark zu. Zur Zeit des Konzils im Jahre 1439, als in der Stadt die Pest wütete, pilgerten 400 Basler Bürger und 24 Priester nach Todtmoos. Viele Wunder wurden vermerkt. |
