English: Toll bridge over the River Mawddach. The viaduct over the River Mawddach at Barmouth was built in 1867, and carries a railway and footpath. Pedestrians can cross for 60p, but cars have to travel inland about 5 miles before they can cross the river. The bridge is about 900 yards across. |
