Français : LECHANTRE Jean-Baptiste, (1755-1851), peintre de l'Académie de Saint-Luc (ou sculpteur de l'Académie de Saint-Luc), décédé le 13 mai 1851, âgé de 96 ans.

Jean-Baptiste Lechantre, qualifié maître peintre de l'Académie de Saint-Luc, meurt, de maladie, le jeudi, 29 avril 1784, à cette date il a 8 enfants : 1° Jean-Baptiste Lechantre l'aîné, peintre à Paris, demeurant avec sa mère ; 2° Madeleine-Charlotte, veuve du s. Duponchel, maître limonadier, habitant aussi la maison paternelle avec sa sœur et son frère dont les noms suivent ; 3° Marie-Louise-Charlotte, épouse du s. Pierre Petit, peintre de l'Académie de Saint-Luc, absent ; 4° Jean-Baptiste Lechantre, cadet, sculpteur de l'Académie de Saint-Luc ; 5° Marie-Eulalie, femme de Jean-Baptiste Bolard, maître marbrier à Paris, rue Buffault.

Ces cinq enfants étaient nés des deux premières femmes du défunt, nommées Bolard et Charlotte Sizeau. La troisième, Marguerite-Louise Chevillon, avait, comme on l'a dit, trois enfants encore mineurs (la majorité étant fixée à vingt-cinq ans) ; c'était :

6° Jacques-Louis, soldat au régiment de Bresse, âgé de vingt-quatre ans ; 7° Jean-Baptiste, âgé de dix-huit ans ; 8° Marie-Jeanne, âgée de quatorze ans.
