English: Tony Potts, born on March 24, 1981 in Rome, Georgia; is a news and sports reporter for WWW.CoosaValleyNews.Com. Potts worked for Southern Broadcasting, South 107.1, Q102.3, WRGA AM 1470 and FM 95.3, out of Rome, Georgia from April 1999 until September 2005. He hosted the number one rated sports program, In the Zone, according to Arbitron Radio Ratings of all time for the city from 2002 until 2005.

During his stint at Southern Broadcasting, Potts also hosted ‘The People’s Show’ on WQTU Q102.3 Fm in 2000. He also served as color-commentator and side line reporter for Rome High School basketball and Rome High School football. Potts also did air work for WTSH FM South 107.1. Tony was one of several talents who broadcast Rome Renegade professional football games in 2005. Potts has also worked for WJTH FM in Calhoun, GA where he worked the midday shift in 2001. He has also been the voice of the radio stations Internet football broadcast of Gordon Central and Sonoraville High School in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

He is a graduate of Coosa Valley Technical College, where he earned a degree in marketing management. Potts has also earned a associates in early childhood education from Georgia Highlands College and is currently enrolled at Kennesaw State University where he is working towards his bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
