Description
English: Shows cadastral and topographic data (land tracts with proprietors' names) in unurbanized areas. Relief shown by hachures and rock drawings. Also covers Hudson County (excluding Bayonne). Oriented with north toward the upper right. Sheet quartered in order to fold. LC copy imperfect: Darkened, brittle, missing small sections along edges/fold lines, stained so as to have white spots, rubber-stamped, annotated in blue crayon, adhesive label affixed, annotated in ink on cloth backing "VI No3". Includes text, inset of "The town of Bergen as laid out by the Commissioners in 1764" [now part of Jersey City], and ill. Available also through the Library of Congress Web site as a raster image.
