A torre sineira de Miranda do Corvo e a cisterna são os únicos testemunhos materiais do velho castelo, na sua origem uma peça estratégica na defesa

da linha do Mondego. A existência do Castelo é testemunhada em 998, no âmbito de uma permuta, e em 1116, conforme relato da Chronica Gothorum, segundo o qual o exército muçulmano atacou a região de Coimbra passando por Soure, Santa Eulália e Miranda do Corvo. <a href="https://turismodocentro.pt/poi/torre-sineira-de-miranda-do-corvo/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">turismodocentro.pt/poi/torre-sineira-de-miranda-do-corvo/</a>
