Torres de Altamira, Brión O castelo de Altamira data da Idade Media e foi destruído no s. XV polos Irmandiños. En 1471 o señor de Altamira improvisou unha torre e unha preto con garitas. Posteriormente, agrandouse a construción ata as seis torres e un pazo. A desidia e o abandono dos seus donos, sobre todo dende a venda polos Altamira a fins do s. XIX, deterioráronas. Vinculadas á casa dos Moscoso. Hoxe están en ruinas. Só quedan os restos dunha das torres e o corpo rectangular do edificio, cun arco conopial na ventá disposto sobre unha porta apuntada. Sitúase no alto dun castro e dende aquí contémplanse os vales de Barcala e a Mahía. |
