« Cette œuvre révèle la grande maîtrise du sculpteur dans le traitement du bronze, son matériau de prédilection. Les volumes arrondis et finement polis magnifient le corps humain en traduisant l'imaginaire et la sensibilité de l'artiste.

Acquise en 1986 par monsieur Conrad Routhier, la sculpture est mise en place devant son commerce, la Taverne Belley, au 249 de la rue Saint-Paul. Il s'agit de l'une des premières œuvres d'art public de propriété privée à Québec. En 2017, la succession de monsieur Routhier fait don de l'œuvre à la Ville de Québec qui l'installe sur la place de Bordeaux tout près de son emplacement initial. »
