| Description |
English: Totteridge: Former Tithe Barn and Village Pound Reminders of Totteridge's agricultural past, the tithe barn and the old village pound can be found just to the north-west of 957063. The tithe barn probably dates from the 18th century, while there is a plaque describing the old village pound as dating from 1560. The old pound is the parcel of land enclosed with a neatly trimmed hedge, in front of, and to the left of, the tithe barn. It is certainly identified and described as a pound on the Ordnance Survey's 6" to the mile map of 1873. |
