Description
Nederlands: HTM tramlijn 6 in 1961 op de Fluwelen Burgwal te Den Haag. De foto is genomen vanuit een woning op de hoek van de Muzenstraat. Er mag nog geparkeerd worden en zo bleef er voor de fietser niet veel ruimte over. Rechts zal de straat overgaan in de Herengracht. Links van het Volkswagen busje is nog een typische bezinepomp te zien. Dat mocht in die trijd nog in de binnenstad. De panden aan de linkerkant zijn tot het zijstraatje - de Korte Koediesfstraat - nog intact en nu gedeeltelijk beschermd stadsgzicht. De boom die net boven het VW-busje is te zien, is een moerascypres en staat nu op de gemeentelijk monumentale boomenlijst. De beouwing bij de Citroen DS is in de jaren 1970 geheel gesloopt. Een hele tijd gebeurde er niest mee - de grond lag braak - omdat de Rijksgebouwendienst ook de andere panden wilde slopen voor de nieuwbouw van een ministerie. Deze plannen zijn de prullenbak in verdwenen en er kwamen een kergebouw en een karakterloos flatgbouw voor in de plaats. Door mijn vader gemaakte opname. Met zijn toestemming geplaatst.
