Description
Español: El Ministerio de Defensa informa que las Armadas de Argentina y Chile llevaron a cabo un ejercicio conjunto de Control y Combate de la Contaminación en la Bahía Sur, en la Antártida.

La práctica se realizó en el marco de la Patrulla Antártica Naval Combinada (PANC), cuando se efectuó el cambio de Buque de Servicio Antártico entre el AP Aquiles, de la Armada de Chile, y el aviso ARA Islas Malvinas, de la Armada Argentina, que asumió esa función.

Frente a la base española, la práctica consistió en un derrame de hidrocarburos en el Aquiles, situación a la que acudió en auxilio el Islas Malvinas.
