Description
Català: Tresor del territorium de Dianum, Museu Arqueològic d'Alacant. Aquest tresor va aparèixer en els anys quaranta del segle XX prop de la serra del Montgó, en el territorium de la Dianium romana, i està compost per 660 monedes romanes de bronze, que comprenen des del govern de l'emperador Vespasià (69 - 79 dC) fins al de Gordià (238 - 244 dC). Va ser amagat cap als anys 241 - 242 dC, a causa del clima d'inseguretat creat, segons es dedueix de la inscripció de la cova de l'Aigua del Montgó, per l'establiment d'una guarnició en les proximitats, i el temor que es produïra una guerra civil entre Gordià III i Maximí.
