DescriptionTriDAR on STS-131 (iss023e020008).jpg |
English: Image of Space Shuttle Discovery approaching the International Space Station during STS-131. The TriDAR 3D navigation system is the box visible just above the docking interface.
This view of the crew cabin and part of the cargo bay of the space shuttle Discovery was provided by an Expedition 23 crew member during a survey of the approaching vehicle prior to docking with to the International Space Station. As part of the survey and part of every mission's activities, the STS-131 Discovery crew performed a back-flip for the rendezvous pitch maneuver (RPM). The image was photographed with a digital still camera, using a 400mm lens at a distance of about 600 feet (180 meters). Polski: Zdjęcie wahadłowca Discovery zbliżającego się do Międzynarodowej Stacji Kosmicznej podczas misji STS-131. Skrzynka widoczna powyżej złącza dokowania, to urządzenie systemu automatycznego dokowania TriDAR. Do dokumentowania stanu technicznego osłony termicznej promu, z pokładu ISS, wykonywano zdjęcia aparatami cyfrowymi uzbrojonymi w długoogniskowe obiektywy, 400 mm, 800 mm, 1000 mm. |
