Description
English: Tungnath Temple is located in Chamoli district of Uttakhand. The temple is located at the height of 3,500 m above sea level. The temple is located around 3 km from chopta and surrounded by the Bugyals. On the track of Tungnath temple there are lots of Bhoj Patra (Betula nepalensis) trees along with the Rhododendron. There are four species of Rhododendron. Temple Tungnath is devoted to Lord Shiva and according to Hindu Mythology the left shoulder of Shiva was there in the form of pindi.
