Description
English: At 75, it is Nehru Zoological Park’s longest living ones and weighs 100 kgs. And given from where it hails, this tortoise occupy a place of pride among those at the sprawling zoo spread over 380 acres here.

Native of Galapagos Islands, have been with the zoo almost since inception five decades back. Male and heavy weight and the fact that they are rooted to the seven islands of Galapagos archipelago, makes it an interesting collection.

It thrives on carrot, cabbage and ‘palak’, typical Indian food.
