Description
English: Two Tupolev Tu-16 of the Soviet Naval Air Force are escorted by a McDonnell F-4B Phantom II of Fighter Squadron 114 (VF-114) "Aardvarks" and a Vought F-8C Crusader of VF-111 "Sundowners", during an overflight of the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) in the Northern Pacific, in January 1963. Both squadrons were assigned to Carrier Air Group 11 (CVG-11) for Kitty Hawk's first deployment to the Western Pacific from 13 December 1962 to 2 April 1963.
