Description
English: Two variator blocking tools for 50 ccm scooter engines, left for de facto standard four-stroke QM139 engine type and right for Kymco two-stroke DJ50 (SA10AA). Such a tool is mounted to the open automatic transmission box when work on the variator (=heart of the automatic transmission in a scooter) and other parts is done, like exchanging the drive belt. It absolutely fixates the crankshaft of the engine by engaging with a toothed wheel on the engine outlet. Thus, no movement of the engine or any parts "downstream" in the transmission are possible, and nuts can be loosened which would otherwise turn easily together with their shafts.
