English: Ty'n Cornel Youth Hostel, ESE of Llanddewi Brefi This former farm stone built cottage which had been YHA accommodation since 1968, is now in the care of Elenydd Wilderness Hostels ( www.elenydd-hostels.co.uk ). All lighting and cooking used to be powered with bottled gas. Electricity, with EEC grant was installed in 2004. 520144 The next habitation eastwards, is Soar y Mynydd, 4km. STOP PRESS.....The new edition (2007) of the OS 1:25000 Explorer Map has deleted the red triangle which indicated the position of this ex YHA hostel. Rest assured, the hostel is still there and open throughout the year as usual. |
