Description
English: Typhus memorial Outside St Mary's Church:

These gates were erected by the Reverend the Vicar W.B.I. Estcourt and his parishioners to remind the living and in memory of the dead. During five months AD 1852 out of 150 sick, twenty persons died of typhus fever.
