Description

A thermogravimetric analysis provides measurements of the change in weight of exposed nuclear fuel under various temperature and atmospheric condition. The analysis will help determine how fast corrosion would occur if a waste package in the deep geologic repository were to fail. This research is being conducted at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
