Description
English: U.S. Navy Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Jason Fullenkamp, with Amphibious Construction Battalion 2, unloads a container via the Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS) system in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Feb. 8, 2010. The system uses a floating causeway to move cargo containers to the shore. The JLOTS system has been valuable during Operation Unified Response because the piers in Port-au-Prince have been damaged and cannot support large ships coming into port. This system will remain in place until the piers have been repaired.
