English: A U.S. Navy crewmember of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 1 (HS-1) "Seahorses" aboard the command ship USS La Salle (AGF-3), in 1984. La Salle was the command ship of the "Commander, Middle East Force" and painted white against the heat, leading the the nickname "The Great White Ghost of the Arabian Coast". It always carried a Sikorsky H-3 Sea King utility helicopter nicknamed "Desert Duck".
