English: U.S. Sailors and Marines assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) gather as U.S. Army Gen. Carter F. Ham, the commander of U.S. Africa Command, addresses the crew aboard multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) April 16, 2012, in Agadir, Morocco, during exercise African Lion 2012. African Lion is an annually scheduled joint/combined U.S.-Moroccan exercise sponsored by U.S. Africa Command and designed to promote interoperability and mutual understanding of each nation's military tactics, techniques and procedures.
