| Description |
Union Pacific Big Boy 4-8-8-4 steam locomotive 4023. The 4023 is one of a class of 25 locomotives built between 1941 and 1944 by Alco. The picture was taken in Omaha, Nebraska. The locomotive has since been relocated to Kenefick Park. This image is a closeup of the "centipede" tender. The rear ladders have been blanked to prevent viewers from climbing up. The tender's payload is mostly water. |
