English: U.S. Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Coast Guardsmen, members of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hawaii Army National Guard, civilian officials and People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Soldiers listen to remarks during the opening ceremony for the 10th iteration of the Pacific Resilience Disaster Management Exchange (DME) Jan. 15 at Macun Barrack in Haikou, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China. The annual United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) Security Cooperation Event with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is an opportunity to share Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief lessons learned from real world events and enhance U.S. and Chinese disaster management capabilities.
