English: In front of Marines and Iwakuni local officials, an armored Iwakuni City policeman demonstrates the procedure for disposing of a suspicious package found on a criminal after being evacuated from a vessel during an annual training exercise at the Iwakuni Port Nov. 28. The exercise fostered interoperability between the Japanese Coast Guard and local law enforcement. Marines were invited to the event to take note of the Japanese protocol and to become familiar with its tactics and procedures should such calamities require the side-by-side efforts of both Marines and Japanese defense agencies.
